Halloween at the ILCF: a look back at an intercultural celebration

UCLy's Institut de Langue et de Culture Françaises (ILCF) celebrated Halloween on the Carnot campus, offering international students a chance to immerse themselves in this popular festival. The programme included a photo stand, crêpes and a quiz to test participants' knowledge of Halloween and its traditions.

Photo stand and costume competition

A photo stand was set up for students to pose in costume, immortalising their transformations into classic Halloween characters. The costume competition gave participants a chance to rival each other in creativity, adding a playful spirit to the evening.

Pancakes and tastings

This was also a time to enjoy crêpes, adding a French touch to the celebrations. The crêpes, prepared on site, gave the students the chance to share a convivial moment based on local flavours.

Quiz on Halloween traditions

To add to the experience, a quiz on Halloween allowed participants to test their knowledge of the history and traditions of the festival. The quiz stimulated curiosity and discussion about the different ways of celebrating Halloween around the world.

The event gave students a chance to experience Halloween in an atmosphere of discovery and cultural sharing, while enjoying the activities organised for the occasion.
