Her professional background
My name is Valérie, I have been teaching French since 1998 in various institutions in France and abroad as well. I have been working in ILCF since 2001, first, as a teacher and now as deputy-Director. I have a PhD IN Educational Sciences, i also teach didactics in the Modern Languages Department but also to the students of the MEEF Master ( careers in teaching, education and training) in UCLy.
Furthermore, i am a Quality auditor for the FLE Quality Label (France Education International) and a certified instructor for the training of the DELF DALF assessors. I am also a member of the GFEN (French group for a new education) and of EReD research lab in the Geneva university.
Her passion for teaching
Just as i was on day one i am still fond of encounters, travels, cross-cultural exchanges. I am always moved by those special little moments we have, together, in the FLE class. This class that gathers persons from different cultures, with different languages and religions…different but with the same will for French language. This is the very magic aspect of my profession ! Because, ahead of teaching and learning French, it is, every time, first, an encounter, then, a common history to write. An eventful tale, thrilling, sometimes daunting, often disruptive which outcome is never certain but, since i first started, it appears like a very stimulating human adventure !
